'In India'

' In India, in India,' as though  'India' has a bunch of Rules
which were handed out to everybody in the first grade,
that said this is the way things are done, this is what is expected
and this is how we think, eat and party.

Wait a minute, did India suddenly island itself of from everyone else
and create its own base, rules, energy vibes n society functions.
As though all the systems in this country are original, and the rest of the world
hasn't passed on it's knowledge over the years.

If we sat down, myself with another who thinks this way, a few I have come across in this visit
I know, at the expense of being obnoxious, that if being Indian means knowing my place
then in terms of Indian history, culture, rituals, thought, politics and way of life I would have the upper hand.
So it's ironic when this 'stuck up bunch' who just by being born in this country think they have the right
to claim they are the real ones through insinuation.

And those aware of the resistance of 'In India,' countinue doing the same,
fooling themselves, a comfort zone which fulfills their happiness of being in a society
reluctant to change, with matters of politics, standards, old systems and it actually
reflects on members who claim to be used to the innefficiency and poverty of the place
as though it were a indifference to the general themes, ' We are used to it yaar,'
rather than an acceptance of that which is, IS.

So many individuals, change their hair colour, clothes, shoes, and brands on a daily basis,
yet their personal work fails to change.
So much external, without internal, what a pity for those who stay stuck in this rigid state of 'In India.'
